At 115x with the 16mm eyepiece in the 368mm reflector, Kap Boo appears as a closely spaced pair of white stars with a noticeably fainter secondary star.

With the 203mm SCT at 111x in the 18mm eyepiece, Kap Boo appears as a closely spaced pair. The primary is white and the fainter secondary is blue.
